Refund and Returns Policy

Sofa Centre will charge a minimum of 20% of the total order amount for any cancellations or changes of mind.

Sofa Centre may, at their discretion, provide a store credit for the balance amount.

You are responsible for returning the products to Sofa Centre at your expense. The products must be returned within a reasonable time and in acceptable condition. The timeframe may vary based on the type of product you purchased along with the price paid. Such timeframe is limited to a maximum of 30 days from the date of purchase.

In the circumstances where the products are faulty, Sofa Centre will arrange for the products to be collected from you, within a reasonable time and at the expense of Sofa Centre. The original freight cost will not be refunded.

Sofa Centre provides the original purchaser a warranty against defects in workmanship and materials along with warranties that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. The warranty is not transferrable (it is limited to the original purchaser) and the products are used for reasonable domestic purposes and excludes products used for commercial reasons.

There may be circumstances where you are not entitled to a remedy.

If, during the warranty period, a defect appears, Sofa Centre may perform an in-home inspection to determine if a manufacturing fault exists.

You may be required to pay for labour, assessment and/or freight fees, such as where goods have been damaged by neglect, misuse or accident, or where the Australian Consumer Law or any manufacturer’s warranty does not apply.

The warranty does not apply where:

  1. you received what you asked for but simply changed your mind, found it cheaper somewhere else, decided you did not like the purchase or had no use for it;
  2. misused the product in a way that caused the problem; or
  3. knew of, or were made aware of, the faults before you purchased the product.
  4. display products or clearance items from any of our store locations with inspections conducted before your purchases

Our warranties are in addition to any other warranties and right you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.  Sofa Centre’s goods come with warranties that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to have goods repaired if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

If it is a major failure, you are entitled to a replacement or refund along with compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You can find further information about your rights under Australian Consumer Law at
